European Vascular Course 2008The  European Vascular Course has distinguished itself from many other events in vascular surgery and – medicine, by being more focused on scientific education.

In 2006 we had the pleasure of developing a new  website and supported the organisers for 2 years in marketing the event via internet.

As the old webpages were no longer attractive. the task was to refresh the design for which we  chose a format that gave the event a noticable appearance which was vital to create more attention  on the web,  for advertising and by posters on meetings of the vascular professionals.

We created a newsletter distributed every months for which we created the contents sent to app. 10.000 vascular surgeons worldwide.



. Faculty-DiscussionThese measures lead to a unknown peak in daily visits month by month and  have contributed to make the event more popular than before. In addition the organizers have added several highlights like the European Venous Forum and invited Keynote lectures.

In 2008 the organizers have decided to give the EVC a new home in Maastricht. (to date the event was organised alternately  in Amsterdam and Marseille . 

There they found the ideal conference center close by  the AZ Maastricht (University hospital with great facilities for live cases and academic exchange of information. The conference today is run by the own staff and partners of main organizer Prof. Dr. med. Michael Jacobs, and we are still contributing to the newsletter to date.
